Activating her toy!

Vision plays such a part in everything toddlers learn to do! And with different toys activating different ways, we have to show Eleanor all sorts of ways to activate her toys…some by tapping, others by biting down, and in this case- finding the only two buttons on the toy & pressing them!

We were wondering why she always seems to intentionally knock her toy over. Turns out its easier for her to locate & press the buttons that way! She’s so smart! When the music stops, she knows how to find the buttons & activate her music again all by herself. 🎶 😏😍

Laundry!

We had some fun with laundry the other day! I was holding Eleanor but needed to get some laundry out of the dryer. Instead of giving her to a sibling to play, I suddenly decided to put her in the basket & pile the laundry on her! What kid doesnt like the laundry basket afterall?? 😂 She got to ride down the hallway in a chariot! She loved it! Then I tried to show her how I fold laundry…which she did NOT like. Lol. But its new so its scary. Then since she was enjoying the basket so much, we piled some of her ballpit balls in it! She had a great time, if you couldnt tell by her grin. 😁

Welcome to Faith for Eleanor!

We are glad you are here!

Eleanor was diagnosed with multiple brain abnormalities as well as complete blindness (no eye balls or optic nerves) in utero. She was given a 1% chance of being born alive and we were strongly encouraged to abort her. They said that IF she was born alive, which they did not expect, she would be in a vegetative state & would not even be able to breathe on her own. Eleanor was born via c-section in April 2018. Today, she has passed her 2nd birthday and breathes on her own, eats by mouth, communicates mostly via sign language, is sharp as a tack, & joyful as can be! She’s been through 3 surgeries (1 to fix a malpractice issue & the other 2 because of fluid build up in her head) but is spunky, thriving, & learning new things each day!

We invite you to follow her journey as she continues to beat the odds & walks the path God has laid before her! She truly is a miracle & we are blessed to have her & share her life with those who are inspired by her story! God bless you all.
